White Hen

This original watercolor portrays a light-colored hen with soft layered feathers and a clear, attentive gaze. The painting is inspired by the hens in the park near my home, where I often return to study their forms, movements and subtle expressions. This particular hen’s calm presence and bright plumage caught my attention, and I wanted to preserve that quiet character in watercolor. Thin, transparent layers create softness and depth, giving the motif a light yet grounded expression.
