Spring Light – Daffodils

This original watercolor portrays yellow daffodils set against a soft green background. For me, daffodils are a clear symbol of Swedish spring — the first bright yellow emerging against still-cool greenery. I wanted to capture that quiet moment when light begins to return, and nature feels both fragile and full of promise. Layered transparent washes create depth while preserving the airy quality of watercolor. The restrained composition allows the flower to breathe within the space.
